Charcoal on canvas?

Using charcoal on canvas can be done, but I would suggest using a heavier paper or watercolor paper. Canvas may eat your charcoal alive! As far as a specific fixative, use any cheap fixative at your local art store. Even better use a hair spray that doesn't smell so bad. Good luck-
