Could This Be A Contagious Horse Disease?
It could, and the horses should be in quarantine until the cause is determined. Likewise, it could be something that may be communicated to humans, so strict hygienic precautions should be being practiced by anyone handling the horses. Has any testing been done, or necropsies, to determine the cause?
