Why is my dirt bike not going froward when i give it gas?

my dirt bike is a Honda crf70f .when i put in to gear and i give it gas it either sputters and dies or dies 2in from where it started. yes i drained the gas i put new gas in. i even tried putting it in gear then running then giving it gas then it sputters or the wheel locks up and it dies. please help
