Does anybody actually go to the theater for remake movies?

so hollywood is really going overboard with remakes lately, just about every old school horror movie is being remade like nightmare on elm street, childs play, children of the corn, frankenstein, hellraiser, it, pet cemetery, poltergeist, the birds, rosemarys baby, even evil dead, the list keeps on going and then on top of it they are remaking a bunch of current foreign films, like the orphanage, the host, let the right one in, even the british comedy death at a funeral, which cannot be made any better, i personally always wait for dvd with these type of movies and I really really hope that hollywood losses a lot of money off of these, but i want to know before hand, so who goes to the theaters for these movies?
