I don't think I have a chance at UC Irvine?!!!?

I actually got in with a 3.2 or so, and much less of a SAT score. Try listing yourself as a music major since you have many years of violin, then do the audition. that's how I got in. if you're good, they will accept you into the program without much regard to your grades and scores. Then changing your major after you get in is a peace of cake. I did the exact same thing. Hope it helps :)
