I'm wanting to learn the more technical workings of a 1911. Can someone explain some things in detail?

what you need to get is HALLEY's book on the 45 acp.............it will give you the history, what it was designed for, and complete tear down with pictures and how to modify all operations and how it should operate.....essential reading for anyone who owns and loves the 1911 configuration !
