My husband and I got a new sofa so we put our old one, a perfectly fine couch, by the road so someone could pick it up for free. We live across from a skateboard park and the teenage guys who frequent the park are not exactly paragons of virtue...they came and got the couch and took it over to the park, we presumed, for their use. Which was fine with us. However, tonight when we got home, we found the couch BACK where it was, in front of our house by the road, but completely destroyed. The cushions are ripped apart; the inside is exposed...the couch is not usable now. We believe this was intentional rudeness on their part. What can we do about this?? We have no truck with which to haul the couch off to the dump...and the police say that if we can't prove who did this, there's nothing that can be done. I'm as mad as hell. This is the last straw with these jacka**es across the street. Any suggestions??

When I went to leave the room she would not let me leave. She block the door with her weight and I cryed. She also told me that iam crazy. So then the manager gave me another doctor to see my thoat. My question to you should I take this up further with the head office. Or just leave it alone and find another door tomorrow in the office. unfortunately there is not a lot that you can do about this......i had the same problem........we had nextel thru my work (we have 13 phones on the plan) and we could never get service if we were at home (at my mom's house) or inside of our office building (25 miles apart mind you)......so we always had to go outside and do that "cell phone dance".....you know, the one where you hold the phone out with one hand while walking around looking for service bars......so we switched to at&t (which of course, i did not want to do).....now everyone gets great service (even in our office building) except for me and i live 1 mile from work.....so i called at&t and they said that what happens is when your phone switches from 1 tower to another tower those towers have to basically "shake hands" to do the switch and that my towers were failing to do so.......theres pretty much nothing that can be done about this according to customer service....what i would like to know is how does their failure have to become MY problem?

I'm still 15 and in school, but I really hate writing. My handwriting isn't that bad, but I can barely write a page before it becomes unreadable. Warlocks I love but i just cant stay with them. Priests are great but it is really hard to survive. Druids would be better if other races could be them. I have a PS3 and I found a wonderful program called "PS3 Media Server". It allows me to stream any audio or video from my MacBook to my TV thru my PS3 wirelessly. If I have a file or a folder on my desktop, the program works to perfection BUT when I try to navigate to my music files (iTunes music) I can't play them because it took too many steps. I get all the way to where I find the album I want but then I can't "click" on it. If I had a shortcut on my desktop, it would eliminate a few steps and I'm sure it would work. When I click on "Macintosh HD" on my desktop it brings up a "Macintosh HD" window with a sidebar that includes applications, doents, movies, pictures and music. It was of a guy that went into this small town and robbed all the banks in the town, while some people caused a big disturbance outside of town which caused all the police officers to leave. VGA resolution problem with Adobe Photoshop 5.0?

Check the vga card spec on the two systems, yours and the pc that the installation worked on. if possible set your vga resolution to that of the pc you were able to install on. if the card/monitor cant support the resolution required you might not br able to install. Also check whether the vga memory is shared or dedicated. if you know your systems' ram and when you check it by right clicking on my computer -> properties and its shows a figure less that what is installed then the vga memory is shared. You could try increasing how much memory is dediacted to graphics

I have been having some stomach/chest pains. I went to the doctor and they sent me for a sonogram of my gallbladder and my liver. I was supposed to find out the results today, but I missed my appointment. How can I remove a large screw from a door, when the nut is broken off?

I'm trying to replace handles on old wooden doors, that are screwed on with long screws. The screws seem to have been put in by machine or something and go right through the doors from the back to the front, they have no nut on the inside end so there's nothing to grip with a spanner or screwdriver. What is causing my speakers to have static and high pitched rings coming from them?

I have a Dell Optiplex GX1p with a Windows 2000 Professional OS. I installed an audio card and bought some speakers recently, but when I turn on my computer and the speakers, I hear weird static or fuzzy sounds, along with a less audible high pitched ringing. When I play music, they practically go away and are barely heard in the background. It seems to be only noticeable when sound is not playing. Man, Im screwed. A few years ago I let my insurance lapse on my vehichle and didnt hand the license plates in. Failure to do so means an instant 150 dollar fine for the first month and 7$ a day afterwards. Try listing yourself as a music major since you have many years of violin, then do the audition. that's how I got in. if you're good, they will accept you into the program without much regard to your grades and scores. Root c, a different method to remove pulp?

I've had several root cs due to severe tooth decay issues.. Most of those procedures involved using files which I thought was the only method. One tooth I was told had a curved root, so I was referred to a specialist. On that occasion files were not used, but instead a suction "thing" I believe.. My question is, what is this method of removing the pulp, versus using files, called? Also, is this a good method? It can sometimes take up to 2 weeks to get a positive. Anytime that you are TTC and miss you period and you are regular you have a great chance that you could be pregnant. I decorated a box with gold leaf and finished it off by applying 2 coats of art & hobby varnish. The box is meant as a gift to a friend of mine and the smell is quite unpleasant. Soy formula and baby having trouble pooping?

I switched my son on soy formula (he has been on it now for 2 weeks or a little more) He was just on regular store brand formula (equivalent to similac regular) and wasn't doing well with it. Spitting up lot's, very cranky, gy, crying lot's almost made me think colic. He also had diarrhea his little poops would literally fly right out of him!! My daughter had problems too and our doctor put her right on soy and she did wonders with it. So since my doctor no longer practices in our area I umed his problem was the same and did the switch. He still spits up loads, but seems more happier. However after his night feeds he his very unsettled and won't go back to sleep. When morning comes and he has to poop he has a lot of trouble to get it out. He strains and cries and brings his legs up. His stools are a little hard, but you have to stimulate his bowls, move his little legs etc to get it out. Then he is much better. He is regular, and goes every morning but with much difficulty. I've tried giving him water to drink and a little corn syrup in one bottle but nothing helps. I can't get into his doctor for a while, so just wondering if anyone has any suggestions.. or any good formulas that are easy to digest. I must add he is a hearty eater and eats anywhere from 5-7oz every few hours and he is one month old.

i have a dell dimension desktop E310 and one of my memory sticks is not compatible with the new one i had installed and i did not install them and although the person who did tol me it would slow down my computer i didnt know it was goin to slow it down drastically so i was wondering if i simply just removed the stick out of the slot would i damage anything or is there more to it than that?

It does not sound like there is anything wrong with you other then having an introverted personality trait. The only problem you may have is what can be called social awkwardness. I'm guessing from what you write that when you are around people you try to impress them with intelligence and that causes you to be alienated from some groups and when you are around others you try to be more casual with the same general affect. The best thing you can do is find a peer group that open accepts who you are. get a small group of people and enjoy things you like, if it is reading you can join a 3-4 person book club. the key to losing the social awkwardness you seem to have is to open up slowly to other and not feel that you have to be on guard and fear rejection if they don't see things the same way you do. Lastly i would say to stop trying to self diagnose because it tends to add to fears rather then help you overcome them.

Borderline, or multiple personality?

My therapist thinks that I may have DID (multiple personality) but I am kind of leaning more towards borderline. I seem to fit some criteria of both of them, but am not sure. I go into what I call episodes where I at the flip of a coin, get extremely suicidal, cut my self, pace around, and it ususally starts from me taking something the wrong way entirely. I drive differently, and do really odd things. Then other times (when I meet new people) I am extremely outgoing, and speak in a southern accent. I never notice until someone mentions it. I am not sure that I completely remember everything that happens during these times, but I get the main gist. I also cannot seem to establish a relationship due to mistrust and fear that they dont like me, and me taking certain things the wrong way, etc. Recently this girl I like and I went to a bar, and when I went to the bathroom she forgot I was there and left, I gto so upset I almost hung myself over it. Is it possible to have more than one personality disorder? Anyone with either of these disorders, any advice?? I am just afraid because if it is alters, one of them is very suicidal...

My aunt, three years ago, got this weird sore on her foot that wouldn't heal. She went to the doctor and he told her it was due to complications from diabetes, a condition she didn't even know she had. The wound never healed and she wound up having to have her leg amputated below the knee! While in the hospital the doctor put her on medication for diabetes. Well, she kept getting dangerously low blood sugars while on the medications so he pulled her off. Later, it turns out she never had diabetes to begin with, and her blood tests showed signs of cancer. She saw an oncologist that diagnosed it as Multiple Myeloma. The day right after Xmas last year, she fell while trying to transfer herself from the toilet to her wheel chair and she broke her hip. She had surgery and was sent to rehabilitation. She developed a new sore on her other leg and it never healed. She had that leg amputated 3 weeks ago! Is it the cancer that is making her bones so weak? I don't get it. I thought this type of cancer was only blood related. I'm really scared that the cancer will get worse and she'll have more complications.

Why do people hate mainstream music?

People at my school hate mainstream music so much. Everyone is scared to admit they like a "new song" that is in the top 100's. That's because everyone at my school is a hipster. My personality and how i should go on with my life?

i was born with ADHD and for the reason that i was always too hyped up to do my school work so i was put into special ed and ever since i went to school (from beginning to graduation) i was picked on for all kinds of things and sometimes for no reason at all. around the time i was in middle school i developed a habit to where i began to nibble on my fingers (not finger nails) whenever i even got a little stressed, after the time i reached high school i started to become more and more eager for attention than before and did crazy, wacky things to get attention and even once inflicted myself to gain attention (not too bad, just a cut or two) but i soon got outa that habit but i mostly started because i was so depressed to see pretty girls with guys that were very mean and hateful, to see that everyone fit in so well and had many friends and i had none of those things not to mention i used to be way too shy to even hardly look at a girl. around my 10th grade year i began working out and getting into top physical shape just so people would stop pushing me around and show me more respect and after a while it worked, no one picked on me anymore and i was just happy with being left alone and sitting by myself at the lunch table and keeping quiet in cl and hardly talking with anyone but after that i became paranoid and very angry if anyone ever such as laughed around me because i would begin to think that they was laughing at me like from before in school but usually i hold it in and dont show it. after a while i came to realize that why should i have friends since the few that i had always let me down or didnt want to ever hang out. after i graduated i became a little more self confident and got a girlfriend and we now live together at my mothers place. i work at a fast food place now and with it being stressful alot of times i tend to have small outbursts like telling off one of my co-workers for getting snappy with me and the more it happens the worser my outrages gets over time. ive never been one to fight or to indulge violence or even hold a grudge, if there is anyone that cant hold a grudge it would have to be me, with the non-violent ways ive adapted to ive always usually held in and repressed things that would make normal people cuss out the person or even indulge into a fight. ive gotten so used to staying and not going out that much in my life ive always prefered to stay home instead of going out to somewhere ive hardly ever been or going too far away. lastly ive begun to give up on finding better career employment or going to college to better myself because no one ever gives me a chance, im beginning to wonder if im going to be stuck in fast food for the rest of my life. after reading this what would you suppose would be the best thing for me to do? is this somewhat normal to feel like this? how can i get over my stress and anger issues?

We were at a party a few weeks ago and we both ended up pretty drunk and ended up making sweet weekly love again. If you're only shaving your pits in one directions maybe you're putting too much pressure on them with the razor to get rid of all the hairs. Unlike your legs, your armpit hair grows in several different directions, so for the best shave with the least amount of irritation you should shave up,down, and sideways. Doesn't take long at all. I also use baby oil with aloe to shave my legs and pits since I have extremely sensitive skin. I found that this in combination with the Gillette Venus razor since it also has the aloe strip, seem to cause the least amount of irritation. Good luck!

Why are my squash plants falling over dead??!!?

My straight neck squash plants have grown big and healthy this year but %50 of them are breaking off at the base of the plant and dying/welting....
